This class is for minor children involved in a divorce or custody case in Linn or Johnson Counties.
This class is offered by Kids First. Kids First designed its workshops to help kids understand and cope with their parents’ separation and divorce. The workshops give children a confidential place to talk about their feelings. Eight to ten kids are grouped together by grade level. Workshops are interactive and utilize artwork, games, videos, discussions, and role playing. Kids take a workbook home to spark discussion with their parents.
Registration should be completed within two weeks of the date of receiving the Order by visiting their Divorce Workshops for Kids page. Attendance at this class shall be completed within 45 days of the date of the Order. Workshops are held in Linn and Johnson County. Questions can be directed to Kids First.
